KGK Scaffolding was entrusted with delivering a substantial scaffolding and access package across Blocks D, E and F at Grand Court West, a large residential development in Leigh-on-Sea, Essex.

Forming part of an established 1970s high-rise residential complex, the three blocks presented KGK with a significant access requirement across multiple elevations and separate building structures.

Rather than applying a single standard arrangement across the development, each block required its own individually designed scaffold solution, carefully adapted to the building configuration and specific access requirements.

Extensive fully boarded independent scaffolding was erected across all three blocks, with fire-retardant Monarflex sheeting providing containment and protection throughout the works. Each block was also provided with a dedicated GEDA material hoist, allowing materials to be moved efficiently between working levels.

Double-boarded protection fans were incorporated at designated locations to provide additional protection beneath the working areas, while continuous platforms provided safe and practical access across the external elevations.

Delivering three substantial scaffold structures as part of one coordinated project required detailed design, careful sequencing and consistent standards across the wider development, demonstrating KGK’s capability to manage large-scale, multi-block residential access packages.
